Metal lamp with Chinese elements. The central figure is a mythical chimera called a qilin 骑楼, often employed as a tomb guardian. A qilin has a dragon-like head, hooved feet, a deer-like body embellished with fish scales; it is gentle and considered an auspicious omen.
On the other side of the lamp is a phoenix -- also a mythical creature.
The qilin and the phoenix are two of four sacred animals (the others being dragon and turtle).
This lamp is in the shape of an urn with handles. Unknown as to working condition.
