Colossal Carved Wooden African Wall Mask. This is a large, wooden wall mask with intricate carvings and embellishments standing at nearly 6 feet tall. The mask is primarily dark brown in color, with lighter brown and white accents. The facial features are exaggerated, with a prominent nose and a wide mouth, but small eyes. The mask is surrounded by long hair made of what appears to be dried grass or fiber. There are carvings across the face and crown of the mask depicting different scenes and even what appears to be a Babanki style elephant mask. This mask shares similarities with wall masks created by the Fang tribe in Central Africa.
