Cliff Freeland (1915–1987) was an American artist celebrated for his landscape paintings and contributions to commercial art. Born in Clifton, New Jersey, he studied at the Pratt Institute in New York before embarking on a career that blended creativity with commerce. As Art Director for the Louis Marx Company, Freeland traveled extensively and played a pivotal role in developing the original Disneykins toy line. His diverse talents extended beyond visual arts; he studied magic under the famed magician Blackstone and even taught President Dwight D. Eisenhower how to paint. In retirement, Freeland focused on painting, producing a wide array of works that ranged from serene park scenes to vibrant, abstract compositions. His artworks have been featured in various auctions, reflecting his enduring appeal among collectors and art enthusiasts.
