This is a traditional Chinese hardwood altar table with a rich, reddish-brown stain and a long, narrow profile. A key design feature is the subtle flared or everted ends (qiaotou) of the tabletop, typical for tables intended to sit against a wall. The straight, thick legs are connected to the tabletop with decorative, carved corner spandrels featuring scrolling cloud or ruyi motifs. Overall, the table exhibits the balanced simplicity and structural elegance characteristic of the Ming or Qing Dynasty style of Chinese furniture.
