Chinese Export Ebonized & Carved Display Cabinet with Inlaid Panel Accents. Upper section features deeply carved relief panels depicting floral/peony motifs flanking a sliding-door compartment. The sliding door is highlighted with gilt and mother-of-pearl/hardstone inlaid depicting a perched bird amidst branches. Mid section is an open multi-level display shelves with asymmetrical stepped compartments, pierced reticulated aprons, and painted/inlaid backboard panels illustrating traditional figural scenes. A two-door lower cabinet decorated with botanical and avian inlaid motifs, situated alongside an open display niche and two small side-by-side drawers at the base. Supported on thick, exaggerated cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. Incised bamboo motif carving along the exterior sides; paneled reverse with a distressed black finish.
