Chinese Earthenware Horse and Rider. Probably Ming Dynasty, (1368-1644). The noble rider dressed in a long coat with hat and holding a ceremonial device, seated on a blanket draped to one side, the horse with open mouth and stylized bridle, with black and red painted highlights. (repairs to legs and base, minor losses, highlights probably later).
Size: 11 1/2 x 9 x 2 3/4 in.
