Chinese Double Gourd Ginger Jar With Lid. Atypical Shape. Normally Vertically Double Gourd, as opposed to the Horizontal Double Grourd.
The body of jar depicts a scene of figures examining scrolls. Red and blue ornate design along base of jar. The handles on the lid are a bright red, contrasting with the white porcelain. Hand painted design of bamboo throughout. Mark on underside.
Small crack on the side of lid. Lost of design where lid rubs against top of jar.
Size: 11 x 6 1/2 x 16 1/2 in.
