These have been in the family since they were painted. 

In as is condition, commensurate with age, losses to the canvas.

Size: 29 1/2 x 24 1/2 in.

Charles Soule, Jr.  (1835-1897) came from a two generation family of artists. Collectively, the family painted countless portraits and still lifes across Ohio and both sides of the Ohio River. Soule Jr became a traveling artist, working his way along the Ohio River to Portsmouth, Pomeroy, and Ripley, as well as towns in West Virginia and Kentucky.
