This is an oil painting of fanciful flamingoes by Charles Saül, a Haitian artist born in 1943. His brother, Audes, was also a Haitian artist. Charles joined the Centre d'Art in 1963 with the help of noted Haitian artist Wilson Bigaud. Saül's work is referred to in many Haitian art books. The painting is signed on the right. The overall size is 16 5/8 x 12 5/8 in. wide. Provenance: the Hirsch estate.
