Charles Mielatz (1864-1919) American, Etching. Titled "Ericsson's House". Signed and dated in the bottom right. Depicting Ericsson Place Na Ned for Monitor's Inventor. Some information on the piece is on the back. Framed in good vintage condition, the frame has signs of wear likely due to age. Charles Mielatz is known for Etching, teaching. Charles Frederick William Mielatz, born in Bredden, Germany on May 24, 1864 was a pupil of the Chicago School of Design and Frederic Rondel in New York. He was a member of the New York Etching Club (Secretary); American National Academy 1906; American Watercolor Society, receiving awards; He served on the jury of the St. Louis Exposition 1904. He also served as an Instructor at the National Academy of Design. Size: 13 5/8 x 7 1/2 in. #1887
