Charles Levier (1920–2003) was a French-American painter known for his vibrant, cubist-inspired depictions of still lifes, cityscapes, and figures. Born in Corsica to a French father and an American mother, he studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris at age seventeen. During World War II, he served in the French Army in North Africa and later became a liaison officer with the U.S. Office of Strategic Services. After the war, Levier divided his time between the United States and France, establishing himself as a prominent artist. His work is celebrated for its bold use of color and form, blending elements of cubism with post-impressionistic influences. Levier's paintings are held in numerous private and public collections worldwide, and he enjoyed a successful career exhibiting in both Europe and the United States.
