Charles Andrew Taylor was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1910, and died there in 1975. Best known for his genre and city scenes, his work can be found in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This particular piece plays with shape and light in a representation of two artists, one older and one younger, commiserating amidst their works.
