The viewer stands on a shore in Capri, Italy, staring out into the ocean as the waves crash against the rocks. The lighting in this piece is stunning, with elements of luminism depicted in the beautifully reflective waves and the glowing silver clouds. Sold in as is condition.

Cavalier Michelle Federico was born in Italy in 1884. Federico specialized in seascapes and scenes of his hometown of Capri, Italy. His first exhibition was at the Promatrice di Napoli in 1911.
Federico exhibited extensively in Milan, Turin, Genoa and at the Societa Amatori e Caltori di Belle Arti di Roma, Rome. He was honored in 1923 by a one man exhibition.
