Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) was a Spanish surrealist artist renowned for his striking and bizarre images that blend dreamlike fantasy with meticulous realism. Born in Figueres, Catalonia, Dalí displayed prodigious artistic talent from a young age and studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. He became a leading figure in the Surrealist movement, creating iconic works such as The Persistence of Memory, characterized by melting clocks and dreamlike landscapes. Beyond painting, Dalí worked in sculpture, film, photography, and design, combining his eccentric personality with a mastery of technique, leaving a lasting influence on modern art and popular culture.
