The king ordered the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than normal and the youths thrown inside, but the Archangel Michael intervened and protected them from being harmed. Not a single hair on their head or body was burned, and when the king realized what had happened, he ordered everyone to leave them alone and praised the God of Israel for protecting them.
