Bernard R. Rosenberg was born on October 3rd, 1949 in Flint, Michigan, and rebelled early on against going into the family grocery business, drawn to the artistic community and eventually graduating from Central Michigan University in 1971 with a degree in Art Education. He moved to Sarasota, Florida, where he took a position as the sculpture teacher for Venice High School, a position he held for 37 years. After retiring in 2008 and the death of his wife in 2010, he traveled extensively throughout the United States, particularly Alaska, offering painting and fishing lessons to makes ends meet as well as producing prints of his works right up until his death in Bellevue, Washington on February 18th, 2025, having inspired multiple generations of artists across the country.
