Called a 'tunggal panaluan', this one was likely made for the tourist trade. These magical staffs were used by shamans of the Batak people who live in the highlands of North Sumatra, Indonesia. Made of wood, embellished with horse hair and rope. Condition commensurate with age, minor chips and scuffs.
Size: 89 in tall x 3 1/2 in wide.
