Arthur Charles Fare (1876-1958) English R. W. A. "Yachts Moored in Weymouth Harbor" Fare painted in watercolors and specialized in landscapes, village and harbour scenes, and architectural subjects. He was a Member and regular exhibitor at the Royal West of England Academy showing 106 works between 1922 and 1956. He was also a member of the 'Bristol Savages', being their President in 1927. They were a group of artists who met regularly and painted together in their headquarters which was decorated as an American Indian wigwam and situated on Brandon Hill, Bristol between 1907-1920. It is recorded he exhibited over 200 works with them between 1928 and 1958 the year of his death. It is known that he visited France and painted in the Dinard Area Circa 1925, and he also visited Italy and Spain. Overall Size: 22 x 28 1/2 in. Sight Size: 14 1/2 x 21 in.
