 Arthur William Matthew Carney (November 4, 1918 – November 9, 2003) was an American actor and comedian. A recipient of an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and six Primetime Emmy Awards. He was best known for his role as Ed Norton on the sitcom The Honeymooners (1955–1956) playing opposite the GREAT ONE- JACKIE GLEASON. In the end he turned out to be- A GREAT ONE himself. Truly one of the great comedians of all time and a must for all fans of his work especially opposite Gleason’s Ralph Kramden.
