Antique Victorian Rococo Revival Style Parlor Table with a Marble Top.

Marble top removable. The tabletop is a distinctive turtle-top shape, featuring curved sides and rounded ends, often with a slightly serpentine or undulating outline. It is crafted from a light-colored marble, possibly white or with subtle veining, which provides a smooth and luxurious surface. The marble often has a molded or shaped edge that follows the contours of the tabletop. The apron, just below the marble top, is made of a rich, dark wood. The apron is beautifully carved with characteristic Rococo Revival motifs. stands on four gracefully cabriole legs, a hallmark of the Rococo style. These legs are characterized by their S-shaped curves, often tapering down to decorative feet. In this case, the feet appear to be scrolled or perhaps have small, subtle embellishments. The legs themselves are also adorned with carved details that echo the motifs on the apron, creating a cohesive and flowing design. Shaped stretcher connecting the legs, featuring a central finial or decorative element and is also carved with openwork designs.
