Antique Swiss Nicole Freres of Geneva Wooden Music Box - AS IS. Top of the box has wonderful inlaid marquetry. Inside left just above the cylinder it says Nicole Freres A Geneve. Right says 41511

Nicole Frères was a prestigious Swiss music box company founded in Geneva around 1815–1820, later led by Pierre François Émile Nicole and known for expanding to London in 1881. The firm specialized in high-quality cylinder music boxes, often housed in inlaid rosewood cases and prized for their rich sound, intricate mechanics, and operatic tune selections. Revered as the "Rolls-Royce" of music boxes, their creations remain highly collectible and are featured in major museum collections and top-tier auctions.
