Harris, Stanwood & Co. was a distinguished American jewelry house and silver manufacturing firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, operating during the mid-19th Century. Originally established as Harris & Stanwood by founders William Harris and Henry Burrill Stanwood, the company adopted the name Harris, Stanwood & Co. during the period when George B. Foster joined the partnership from 1842 to 1847. The firm earned a strong reputation for crafting high-quality pure coin silver hollowware, teapots, and flatware that epitomized the refined craftsmanship of antebellum New England. Following subsequent retirements and organizational changes, the enterprise eventually evolved through further successions to become part of the historic Boston institution Shreve, Crump & Low.
