Antique Bailey & Co. Sterling Silver Ladle - 3.190 ozt. Beautiful shell form and monogram on handle. Stamped on underside.

Bailey & Kitchen was established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1832 by silversmiths Joseph Trowbridge Bailey and Andrew B. Kitchen. Operating out of Chestnut Street, the firm quickly built a strong reputation for crafting fine coin silver hollowware, flatware, and exquisite decorative items. After Kitchen retired in 1846 the name changed to Bailey & Co., and the business underwent several successive leadership changes, eventually evolving into the renowned luxury firm Bailey, Banks & Biddle in 1878.
