Antique 19th C Gilded Copper Eagle Weather Vane. This antique weather vane features a detailed eagle figure perched atop a spherical base with a directional arrow. The copper eagle has a beautiful green and brown patina showing through the original gilt finish. The overall design and style of the weather vane suggest that it dates back to the 19th century and was likely used as a decorative and functional piece on a barn or home. This popular eagle form was manufactured by several prolific companies, such as Fiske and Co, Washburne, Harris and Company and Cushing and White.

Commensurate with age, gold finish is weathered and copper has developed a patina.
