Ansei Uchima (1921 - 2000) NY, "Window Nuance" artist proof woodblock print. Pencil signed lower right and dated "1978" and titled in the lower left. He was an esteemed woodblock print artist, painter and fine arts professor Emeritus facultymember at Sarah Lawrence College, where he taught from 1962 to 1982. Also taught at Columbia University to 1982. Recipient of Guggenheim Fellowships in 1962 and 1970. His work belongs to permanent collections of Metropolitan Museum ofArt, Whitney Museum, National Gallery of Art, among many others. Overall Size: 36 x 28 3/4 in. Sight Size: 28 1/2 x 21 in.
