American Silver Company Sterling Silver Anniversary Bowl - 3.90 ozt. Twisted pattern along rim. Middle of bowl reads "To Mother and Dad 40th Anniversary June 14, '51." Marked on underside. 

Size: 6 1/2 x 1 1/4 in. 

Weight: 3.90 ozt. 

The American Silver Company was established in Bristol, Connecticut in 1901 as successors of Holmes & Tuttle Manufacturing Company and the Bristol Brass & Clock Company. They used a wide array of trademarks: A.S.CO, BRISTOL CUTLERY CO, NEW ENGLAND CUTLERY CO, OLD ENGLISH BRAND B., BEACON SILVER CO, CROWN SILVER CO, 1857 WELCH-ATKINS, EASTERN SILVER CO, H. & T. MFG CO, NEW ENGLAND SILVER PLATE CO, PEQUABUCK MFG CO, ROYAL PLATE CO, and WELCH SILVER. They were bought by International Silver Company in 1935.
