Amedeo Fiorese was born in Bassano del Grappa, Italy in 1939 into a family of musicians, but was drawn in childhood to sculpture, winning first prize at the Triveneto Vase Competition in Nove at the age of 17. He was approached by the director of the competition, Giorgio Wenter Marini, who invited him to enroll at the Carmini Art Institute in Venice, and graduated in 1958 before obtaining his teaching qualification in Padua in 1963, teaching drawing at various secondary schools for the next twenty years. At the same time, the work experience he gained during the 1970s at the Bonvicini Foundry in Verona, where he learned new techniques and interacted with leading artists such as Salvador Dalí, Arnaldo Pomodoro, and Pablo Picasso, who encouraged his research into unique materials and continuous technical experimentation. He continues to sculpt to this day in bronze, gold, clay, wood, and more, exhibiting around the world and winning numerous awards at countless competitions, with a permanent gallery dedicated to his work in his home town.
