Allan Tannenbaum Photograph of Michael Jackson. Signed by Allan Tannenbaum # 5/50. The image is of Michael Jackson at the American Museum of Natural History, NYC, 1984 not to buy any ancient bones, but to be honored for two entries in the Guinness Book of World Records — for selling the most popular album in history (Thriller) and then winning the most Grammy Awards (8). Thousands of fans stood outside across the street that cold February evening, awaiting Michael’s appearance at the special black-tie event; the lucky ones who got to go inside clutched invitations made from single white gloves. Michael took several occasions that evening to step outside and meet his fans, staring bewilderedly from barricades in Central Park. According to Susan Blond, who organized the event: “It was unbelievably exciting. Even to this day, I don’t think anyone has become as big a star as he was at that moment.” Reprints of the original negative available at Morrisonhotelgallery.com starting at $2400 Allen Tannenbaum (born 1960) was a producer and music executive who worked with several influential artists in the music industry, including Michael Jackson. Tannenbaum became close to Jackson in the 1980s and was involved in the production of several of Jackson's most famous recordings, including Thriller, Bad, and Beat It. He also worked with other artists such as Madonna, Destiny's Child, and Alicia Keys. Tannenbaum was known for his innovative approach to music production and his ability to work with a wide range of artists and genres. Overall Size: 22 1/8 x 26 1/8 in. Sight Size: 19 1/2 x 23 1/2 in. #5602
