​Alan Campbell, born in 1950, is an American environmental and expedition artist from Athens, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from the University of Georgia in 1973 and completed his Master of Fine Arts there in 1975. Campbell has participated in over 50 solo exhibitions across the United States, Italy, Chile, and New Zealand, with sponsorships from organizations such as Mobil Oil and the United States Embassy. Notably, he has undertaken multiple expeditions to Antarctica as a visiting artist with the U.S. Antarctic Program under a National Science Foundation grant, dedicating nearly a year to capturing the continent's landscapes. His work has been featured on the covers of publications like Reader's Digest and The Sciences, and is held in numerous corporate and private collections worldwide.
