Pierre Le Faguays (1892-1962) was a French Art Deco sculptor renowned for his elegant bronze figures, decorative statuettes, lamps, and ornamental objects that captured the dynamism and sophistication of the interwar period. Born in Nantes, France, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva under James Vibert and became one of the leading sculptors of the Art Deco movement. Working in bronze, terracotta, ivory, stone, and other media, Le Faguays created celebrated depictions of dancers, athletes, and allegorical figures distinguished by their graceful movement and refined anatomical detail. He also worked under the pseudonyms Fayral and Guerbe, collaborating with prominent foundries such as Max Le Verrier, Susse Frères, and Etling. Today, his sculptures remain highly sought after by collectors and are recognized as exemplary works of French Art Deco design. (Wikipedia)
