After H. Schott Poster of Arum Nigrum (Black Arum). This poster depicts the work of Heinrich Wilhelm Schott who worked on a collected works called the Aroideae Maximilianae and was published in 1879. The work features an image of the Crete arum growing above the soil on a sunny day. The green heart shaped leaves grow on their own stalks around a bulb which has bloomed into a striped white and purple flower. Paper on back translated to say the following: ?Aroideae Maximilianae The On the journey of His Majesty the Emperor Maximilian I. to Brasil Collected Arum Plants After Handwritten Notes By H.
