Georges Gori (born circa 1900 in Paris) was a notable French sculptor of the Art Deco era, active primarily between the 1920s and late 1930s. A student of prominent sculptors Jean-Antoine Injalbert and Henri Bouchard, he exhibited frequently at the Salon des Artistes Français beginning around 1929 and was awarded distinctions such as a gold medal at the 1937 Paris Exposition Universelle. Gori is best known for his elegant bronze and metal pieces typically portraying stylized figures—often women, dancers, greyhounds, or mother-and-child ensembles—frequently mounted on decorative marble or onyx plinths, exemplifying chryselephantine-inspired refinement. His signed works, found across European collections, reflect the sophisticated, geometric fluidity characteristic of early 20th-century French sculpture.
