Lot comprised of seven sterling silver matchbook holders and 1 glass lined sterling cup.
Largest Size: 2 x 2 x 2 1/4 in.

The markings on the matchstick holders indicate they came from the Webster Silver Company, which was founded in North Attleboro, Massachusetts in 1869 by George K. Webster (1849-1921). They became a subsidiary of Reed & Barton in 1950, and the original factory on Broadway Street was closed.
The markings on the cup indicate that it came from F. M. Whiting & Co. , which was founded in 1878 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. It became Frank M. Whiting & Company in 1896 and continued manufacturing under that name until the firm was acquired by Ellmore Silver Co. around 1940. Ellmore acquired Amston and Concord silver companies at the same time, and continued to produce a number of the older F. M. Whiting patterns marked with Amston or Concord trademarks. When Ellmore closed in 1960, they were still making pieces with all three marks on them.
