(2) Signed American Studio Art Glass Vases. The larger piece is a very abstract shape with an exploded rim and a curved bottom resting on a clear base, signed indistinctly and dated '98 on the underside. The other is a more common vase form with a dazzling array of shapes and colors over a majority pink base, signed "D. Bagwell" and dated '90 along the bottom edge. Size: (largest) 13 x 7 x 7 in. 

(3) Signed American Studio Art Glass Vases. The tallest piece is a jack-in-the-pulpit vase with a pretty candy-cane pink-and-white pattern throughout, signed and dated 1987 by Stuart Abelman on the underside. The other two are more traditional vase shapes with iridescent patterning, both signed by Stephen Fellerman on the bottom edge. Size: (largest) 15 1/2 x 9 x 3 1/2 in. 

Don Malcolm Bagwell was born in Hoover, Alabama on August 9th, 1948, and left home to explore the country after he finished high school, winding up in California in the late 1960s where he was first exposed to the blossoming art glass scene. From the 70s until the late 90s he produced a wide array of hand-blown vases, sculptures, and other decorative objects before returning to Hoover and setting up a new home studio there. He passed away on August 2nd, 2025, just a week shy of his 77th birthday, and his highly creative work, admired for its color, form, and craftsmanship, are now more highly sought than ever by collectors.
