(4) Stirrups. Lot of four equestrian rider stirrups, including spike circle, single spike, and pair of brass stirrups.

Riding stirrups are essential components of equestrian gear, designed to support a rider's feet and provide balance, stability, and control while mounted on a horse. Typically made of metal, wood, or composite materials, stirrups hang from the saddle via leather straps called stirrup leathers and are positioned on either side of the horse. Their introduction revolutionized mounted combat and horsemanship, allowing riders to use their legs more effectively and remain seated during sudden movements or battles. First widely adopted by nomadic cultures such as the Mongols, stirrups spread to Europe and became standard in cavalry and riding traditions. Today, they remain crucial in disciplines ranging from dressage and jumping to casual trail riding.
