(3) Dan Mitra (Born 1951) Romanian/American, Limited Edition Botanical Lithographs. Each one is tall and depicts a highly realistic flower, perfect for a focal point on a wall. All signed in pencil bottom right. One titled "Blue Iris" in pencil bottom left and numbered 676/750 bottom middle, the second titled "Purple Iris" in pencil bottom middle and numbered 203/750 bottom left, and the third titled "Beard Tongue" in pencil bottom left and numbered 414/750 bottom middle.

Born in Romania in 1951, Dan Mitra worked as a graphic designer for both motion pictures and the theater. He published graphics in various magazines and won prizes in several art competitions in Italy for painting, sculpture, and drawing. Mitra first began to explore the field of etching after coming to the U.S. in the 1980s, fascinated by the process of using metal plates and a diamond tipped needle to create extremely fine line quality. He built his own etching press and is highly detailed in his work; each etching is unique in that they are colored by hand and no two are ever exactly the same.
