(21) Piece Luigi Colani Zen Stoneware Tea Set. Includes 8 saucers, 8 cups, creamer bowl, sugar bowl, kettle, stand, and candle.

Luigi Colani was a visionary German designer known for his futuristic, biomorphic forms that blurred the line between art and engineering. Active from the mid-20th century until his death in 2019, Colani applied his signature curvilinear aesthetic to everything from cars and airplanes to furniture and cameras, believing that nature’s organic shapes were inherently more efficient and beautiful. Rejecting sharp angles and rigid industrial norms, his designs often appeared decades ahead of their time, resembling living organisms more than mechanical constructs. Though many of his concepts remained prototypes, Colani’s work challenged conventional design thinking and left a lasting impact on fields ranging from automotive design to ergonomics and architecture.
