2005 Family Guy Poster and "Life-Sized" Stewie Promotional Standee. The poster depicts the cartoon Rhode Island denizens in a family portrait, with the logo of the show in the upper right corner. The standee shows the diabolical baby plotting and scheming, with the logo and information about the piece printed bottom left. 

Condition: Minor scratches to poster and some staining and folding to standee. 

Provenance: Both pieces acquired by consignor from a Blockbuster Video Store in 2005.

Family Guy is an animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane that centers around the dysfunctional Griffin family in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island. The series premiered on Fox in 1999, utilizing a distinct humor style heavily reliant on cutaway gags that lampoon American culture. Although Fox cancelled the show in 2002 following its third season, phenomenal DVD sales and stellar ratings in syndication convinced the network to revive it in 2004. The show made television history in 2009 by becoming the first animated series to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series since The Flintstones in 1961. Despite facing substantial criticism regarding its character portrayals, shock humor, and perceived decline in quality, the franchise expanded to include a massive line of tie-in media and a spin-off series, The Cleveland Show. Under a recent “mega deal” with Disney, the long-running comedy has been renewed through 2029, alongside the announcement of a brand new spin-off series titled Stewie.
