(2) Vintage Salvador Dali for Daum Pate-de-Verre Art Glass Plates. Pair of limited edition patte-de-verre art glass plates designed by Salvador Dali and produced by Daum; one in rich, royal blue, one in pale purple, with abstract gold-spatter design in bowl and around rim. Signed by Dali in glass cast. Produced circa 1970.

The collaboration between the French glassmaker Daum and surrealist artist Salvador Dalí in the late 1960s and 1970s resulted in a remarkable fusion of fine crystal craftsmanship and avant-garde artistic vision. Together, they produced a series of limited-edition pâte-de-verre sculptures that brought Dalí’s dreamlike, symbolic imagery—such as melting clocks, angels, and mystical creatures—into tangible, luminous form. Daum’s mastery of glass casting techniques allowed for the faithful interpretation of Dalí’s intricate designs, capturing both texture and ethereal color with extraordinary finesse. These pieces remain highly sought after by collectors, representing a unique intersection of surrealist art and decorative glass tradition.
