As a boy, he was sent to an art school, and after serving in the Soviet Army, returned to his hometown and began studying in the Fine Arts Academy of Birobidjan, graduating with honors in 1979. Through the eighties he continued painting monumental works and participated in exhibitions throughout the U.S.S.R. In 1991 Brodinsky immigrated with his family to Israel. The topography of the country, especially the views of the Galilee in Northern Israel and its surrounding hills, became dominant motifs in his work. A different kind of sunlight and a new countryside affected his palette and remarked a new period in his artistic history. #4373 #4365 Location #4365-J1
