The Pace Collection was a luxury contemporary furniture company founded by Irving and Leon Rosen in New York City in 1960, known for its high-gloss, exotic wood and stainless steel designs. Its Manhattan showroom catered to the contract interior design trade and offered a distinctive alternative to brands like Knoll and Herman Miller. In 1985, Leon Rosen commissioned architect Steven Holl to design a new showroom on Madison Avenue, which earned an AIA award and led to patented furniture designs. The company ceased operations in 2001 following the deaths of both founders.
