Pair of Margaret Moore Oil on Painter Board (1842-1923) American California Coastal Landscape. Predominantly known for her southwestern paintings her trips to the coastline of California often inspired images just like this one. The blending of the sea and the dunes marvelously captured.
y the 1920s Margaret D. Moore Ewert was a skilled painter of the Indians of Arizona. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago in the early 1930s, married a man named Ewert, and returned to the Southwest. She painted in Arizona, New Mexico, and made painting trips to southern California. Exhibited: Art Institute of Chicago, 1931, 1933.
