(2) John Rogers & Son Matching Transferware Porcelain Boston State House Plates. Identical images of the building with a floral pattern around the border. A paper label affixed to the back of one reads " 8 1/4 Rogers Boston State House." 

Size: 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 x 7/8 in. 

John Rogers & Son was a prominent 19th Century English pottery firm based in Dale Hall, Longport, Staffordshire, active from roughly 1814 to 1842. It was originally founded in 1784 as John & George Rogers, and continued by John’s son Spencer after his death. The company was renowned for producing high-quality earthenware, including pearlware, blue and white transferware, and popular views or animal patterns exported to the United States.
