(2) Duchin Creation Convertible Weighted Sterling Silver Candelabras. This unique multi-part design features a central pillar with two detachable curved arms holding three total candle cups per piece. This "Convertible Style" became popular in the 1960s, so that the arms could be removed to use the main center piece as and individual single-light candlestick, depending on the occasion or space requirements. However, these particular pieces have been welded into place, to keep them as three-light candelabras permanently. Marked on the undersides. 

Size: 11 1/4 x 3 1/4 in. 

The New York-based company Maurice Duchin Creation, operational from the 1940s through the 1990s, produced mainly home decor and tableware, often reproducing classic styles before they were absorbed into Empire Silver. Their more Mid Century Modern items are still sought by collectors.
