(2) Brazilian Boca de Valeria Carved Mahogany Wall Plaques. Lot comprised of two Boca de Valeria carved mahogany wall decorations, one depicting toucan and birds, other depicting dolphins. Signed.

Boca da Valeria is a small Amazonian village in Brazil's Amazonas state, situated at the confluence of the Valeria and Amazon Rivers. Home to fewer than 100 residents, this remote settlement offers visitors a glimpse into traditional riverine life, with stilted homes, a modest church, and a one-room schoolhouse. Despite lacking formal tourism infrastructure, Boca da Valeria has become a popular stop for Amazon River cruises, where locals—often children—welcome guests with guided walks, photo opportunities featuring exotic animals like sloths and parrots, and handcrafted goods for barter. The village's authenticity and serene setting provide a unique cultural experience, contrasting sharply with the bustling urban centers elsewhere in Brazil.
