Blenko Glass Company is an art glass company founded in 1922 by William J. Blenko in Milton, West Virginia, after three earlier attempts in the US failed. Originally specializing in antique flat glass, the company began producing vibrant, colorful glassware and art glass in the 1930s due to decreased demand during the Great Depression. Blenko's products, made using a patented cylinder method and entirely blown by human glassblowers, were a challenge to market against established European products. Today, Blenko family members still lead the company, and its unique glassware, especially the crackle ware, is highly valued by collectors.
Some scratches and imperfections in the glass on both pieces.
