(2) 1854 'The Asphalt Jungle' Lobby Cards. Two vintage 1954 re-release MGM lobby cards (Nos. 2 and 4, R54-516) for the classic film noir The Asphalt Jungle, featuring scenes with Marilyn Monroe and Louis Calhern.

Size: 14 x 11 in.

Directed by John Huston, The Asphalt Jungle is a landmark film noir that follows a meticulously planned jewel heist orchestrated by a recently released master criminal, only to unravel through human error, greed, and bad luck. Based on the novel by W. R. Burnett, the film features an acclaimed ensemble cast including Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Sam Jaffe, and an early breakout performance by Marilyn Monroe. Praised for its realistic portrayal of professional criminals and moral ambiguity, The Asphalt Jungle became one of the most influential heist films ever made, shaping the crime genre for decades and earning four Academy Award nominations, including Best Director and Best Screenplay.
