Rupert House is a historic building located in the coastal town of Lowestoft in the United Kingdom. The house is associated with Prince Rupert of the Rhine, a prominent Royalist leader during the English Civil War, who is said to have used or stayed at the building in the 17th century. Because of this connection, the structure became known locally as Rupert House. Though modest in size, it represents part of Lowestoft’s early modern heritage and reflects the town’s links to the political and military events of the Civil War period, when East Anglia played an important role in the struggle between Royalists and Parliamentarians.
