Blanc de Chine porcelain is a type of Chinese white porcelain produced primarily in Dehua, Fujian province, renowned for its pure, milky-white glaze and delicate, refined forms. Emerging during the Ming dynasty and flourishing under the Qing, it was prized for both religious and decorative objects, including Buddhist figures, deities, and elegant vases. The translucent quality of the porcelain, combined with subtle modeling and smooth, unadorned surfaces, gives it a serene and luminous appearance. Valued for its understated elegance and technical mastery, Blanc de Chine became highly sought after by collectors and remains celebrated as one of the finest expressions of Chinese ceramic artistry.
